![]() ![]() I always thought apple were the dogs danglies when in came to help and support,, and I was getting all excited about buying one for the first time but not so sure now, probablly wait for 2012 model! and noone seems to be getting any help from apple lots of wirless lemons running around with no real solution from apple. I was a bit concerned with the heat issues also mentioned alot but this is to be expected, but wifi it,s basics. I have had many p.cs and have never experienced wifi problems. ![]() But even so i feel a wifi connection should work straight out the box. I read some threads from so called network techies so not all just joe public. (It's always kind of fun to be sitting there with a big glowing Apple logo on my lap and have a frustrated-looking guy with a cheap PC ask "Can you get on the network?" and be able to say "Yup, you mean you can't?" □) In fact, I'm often able to easily connect to wifi networks when people with Windows machines sitting near me cannot. So of course there will be a lot of inexperienced people using any computer who will have wifi problems.įor what it's worth, I have NEVER had wifi problems with any of my Macs. There can be signal strength issues, interference issues, mis-configured routers, very old routers that aren't following current standards quite right, routers that need firmware updates that have never been applied, etc. Wifi in particular is something that is easy for things to go wrong with. They find others with similar symptoms, and they "snowball". This is a troubleshooting forum, and people coming here usually don't understand what's going wrong. What you have to keep in mind is that any picture you get from a place like this is incredibly skewed. What is concerning me is the wifi problem and the lack of support from apple to solve the problem. ![]()
